Calculate children's BMI

Calculate the BMI of children and see if the weight is appropriate for age and gender.

What is BMI in children?

The BMI (Body Mass Index) works differently in children than in adults. In children, the BMI is always assessed based on:

  • age
  • gender
  • BMI value

Because children are growing, their BMI is compared to age-dependent reference values . As a result, the same BMI can mean something different at different ages.
